Hello and welcome to my romantic journey. ^-^
When I was invited to be part of this blog, I was actually apprehensive. I didn't have any idea what to write at all. Yeah, it sounds funny coming from someone who writes a romance novel but hey, I have my dark moments too when the romance in my life suddenly takes a different turn bordering on fantasy. But I believe that the best way to start with anything is from the heart. I write from the heart and so here I am.
Of all my six approved novels (never mind those reject ones), I always write from the heart. I write about my dream love story every time. I write about an engagement proposal complete with the works and such. I write about that moment when things seem to be falling apart and then comes the hero who would save me. I write about a plain damsel in distress who met a prince who loved her for all that she is and is not. I write about falling in love so many times and be consumed with that oh so giddy feeling that makes my toes curl and my insides melt.
Isn't that heavenly to think about such things and put it into writing? But first, let us discuss the "cute meet" since this is very essential to every romance story. Where did the hero and heroine meet and how?
On my part, I am blessed to have acquired a lot of experience that helped me in my writing. I met my first boyfriend through a billiard game when I was in grade six. He was already second year high school then and I could remember that magical moment when our eyes met. I don't know. There was just something about that moment that was forever imprinted in my mind. Until I forgot all about my game and stared back at him for almost a minute. Yet at that time, it felt like forever. It felt like I had been staring at his eyes all my life and it was just the first time I took notice. It was puppy love nonetheless but magical, right?
So think about that moment in your life too. It doesn't have to be an ex-boyfriend. It could also be about that cute guy you really liked at school or at work. Think about that "firsts" and write about it along with your feelings at that time. This may require a lot of reminiscing but it would be a lot of fun.
Next time, I will discuss about the succeeding boyfriends along with the other parts of a romance novel. *wink* I hope you would join me again next time. Ciao.
