I received a message from my editor yesterday that Anton's story, Born For Me, is for revision. According to her, there are scenes that are vague and characters that are no longer important to the story. I figured out she was right and so I faced Anton again and edited the manuscript.
Mind you, it was never an easy task. I felt like I was in the operating room, aligning a broken bone from a VA patient. That patient was Anton. I had to sedate him with enough anesthesia to be oblivious to the pain as I painstakingly stitched the wound and plastered the broken area. If you had worked in the operating room before, you will know what I mean.
And then, there is the healing process. Some bones heal longer than others. Others do not heal at all. I wonder how Anton will deal with the surgery. Will he come out whole without a trace of the surgery or will he be forever broken? I am afraid to find out.
The waiting period is always frustrating.
